Using an Accuhorsemat® before riding has a relaxing effect on the muscles and can calm a tense horse. Alternatively, you can use the blanket after training or competition to help your horse to recover more quickly. Allowing the horse to wear the blanket for a short period before treatment by a masseur or equine therapist, makes it possible for the deep muscles to be treated more quickly. The Accuhorsemat® is not offered nor intended to be a medical treatment, whether physical or mental, for the horse. You must see to that the Accuhorsemat ® is properly fitted and put in place on the horse with appropriate individual pressure as our instructions states.
See more in-depth instructions in our brochure or on our website: www.accuhorsemat.com Caution is advisable both when Accuhorsemat ® is fitted and when in place to make sure that the horse stays calm. Horses are individuals and react differently to the Accuhorsemat®. Try it out and see how the blanket works best for your own horse. WE TAKE NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR THAT THE ACCUHORSEMAT ® WOULD BE SUITED FOR THE TEMPERAMENT OF EVERY HORSE. You are the one who knows the temperament of your horse. You should be specifically careful when first applying the blanket to mares and to horses that have been clipped as they sometimes may be a bit more sensitive. Discuss the benefits and use of the Accuhorsemat® with your veterinarian. We recommend that you begin by laying the acupressure mat for the hindquarters alone on the horse without the full blanket, for a short period to allow your horse to become accustomed to the acupressure roses. If necessary, you can make light circular movements with your hand to provide a little pressure. Do this for a few consecutive days until your horse has become accustomed to the sensation. When your horse has become accustomed, you can use the entire blanket. Gradually increase the duration and pressure of use. No additional weight shall be applied on the horse when Accuhorsemat ® is on the horse. Good luck!
