Nanna Merrald in the 2014 FEI World Cup Dressage Final
Next week Lyon, France, hosts the 29th FEI World Cup Dressage Final. This top event brings together 18 riders from 11 nations who have qualified from four different Leagues around the globe. The Danish team representatives at Lyon is Nanna Skodborg Merrald, who made the cut through consistent placings on the Western European League circuit over the winter months. Impressive by DreamSportsHorses’ member the 20-year old Nanna Skodborg Merrald, riding the 13-year old Danish warmblood gelding Millibar (by Milan x Liberty Dane). Denmark’s Anna Kasprzak is missing out on the Final after having to forfeit her qualifying spot due to a fall last week. She has been replaced by US-based Mikala Gundersen and Lars Pedersen also US-Based making up the Danish World Cup team for the 2014 REEM ACRA Finals.
Defending champions, Germany’s Helen Langehanenberg and Damon Hill NRW, will be up against the Olympic and European champions and multiple record-breakers Charlotte Dujardin and Valegro from Great Britain – so it is going to be an exiting week! We wish Nanna and Millibar a great week in Lyon and lots of success at 2014 World Cup Finals.
