This weeks highlight: World Cup Qualifier in Gothenburg, Sweden, on 25 February – 1 March 2015
Since it’s premiere in 1977, The annual Gothenburg Horse Show in the Scandinavium Arena have had more than 2.5 miljon visitors. This years spring edition is going to be great with top riders competing in show jumping as well as in dressage.
In 1982 Gothenburg Horse Show introduced advanced dressage in the show and in 1989 Scandinavium hosted its first final in the Dressage World Cup™. The fact that 11,000 people saw Margit Otto-Crepin/Corlandus win the World Cup™ impressed the international dressage expertise greatly. What a great enthusiasm for the horse sport in Gothenburg!
Seven times the final has been settled in Gothenburg, the latest in 2013. In 1998 the Swedish rider Louise Nathorst/Walk on Top won, which was very popular in Gothenburg and in the whole of indeed.
This years tournament in Gotenburg is an important part of the Reem Acra FEI World Cup™ Dressage as the finals are getting close.
